HEAVEN
Come in No.7, your time is NOW!
The first edition of the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS as an Abbott World Marathon Major is upon us, but some runners have already achieved Seven Star status. Here are the numbers behind the Seven Star Pioneers!
The TCS Sydney Marathon applied for Major status back in 2022.
In 2024, as the race secured its final assessment to join the family, Sydney also hosted the Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Championships where the top Age Group runners from across the world took to the streets of the Harbour City in the hope of becoming a World Champion.

As an extra reward to those Age Groupers, each finisher of the championship was awarded a provisional star for Sydney.
When Sydney was formally inducted into the series in November that year, those stars became permanent.
That meant that, for some, they would become the first members of the Seven Star club!
